Ear Candling

Ears are parts of our bodies that are little understood and often neglected. We usually only become aware of our ears when we have a problem, which often leads to a visit to a doctor who can syringe our ears or offer us antibiotics. Ear candling is a simple, painless, non-invasive alternative for maintaining, restoring and toning our hearing.

There have been numerous accounts of ear candling throughout history. Almost all ancient cultures used some form of ear candling for cleansing and healing.

"Ear Candling" involves the use of a hollow candle, which looks like a regular candle tube coated with wax. You gently place the candle on the orifice of the ear and light the open end. The flame creates a relative vacuum in the ear and gently sucks out debris (toxins, old wax and fungus). This debris has accumulated and impacted over the years. This old wax and debris cannot be removed from the middle and inner ear using Q-tips or washcloths. An ear may appear clean but impaction has occurred deep down in the crevices of the inner ear.

Ear Candling relieves pressure in the ear, nose and sinus. This in turn helps relieve allergies, headaches and migraines. Clients have also experienced relief from ear pains and sinus irritations, and returned or improved hearing once impacted ear wax has been cleared. Many people who constantly have colds and earaches have been helped by this treatment.

The technique of Ear Candling soothes and relaxes some people to the point of drifting off to sleep.
